colin the dog goes to st kilda
The world premiere of Colin the Dog’s Fabulous Midnight Adventure and Another Story, Staple Fiction‘s film adaptation of my first published story, will be at the St Kilda Film Festival as part of Australia’s Top 100 Short Films. If you happen to be in Melbourne on Saturday 26 May, come join us at 9.00pm at The Astor Theatre. Tickets are available here.
Colin the Dog is one of three short films by director Grant Scicluna, cinematographer Francesco Biffone and composer/sound design duo Groove Quantize, to screen at St Kilda this year.
The Wilding is a must-see. It premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival this year, where it was nominated for a Teddy Award. It also won the City of Melbourne Emerging Filmmaker Award for Best Australian Short Film, as well as the Audience Choice Best Australian Short, at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival 2012.
Golden Girl is based on a short story by Janette Turner Hospital about a teenager who struggles to cope with her new life in the aftermath of a fire that has left her face and body scarred.
Here is a behind-the-scenes slide show of the Golden Girl shoot, featuring music by Groove Quantize, stills by Brent Lukey and the voice of Marny Kennedy performing ‘The Lady of Shalott’ by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
Hope to see you there!
